GENERATION SLAP:They're naive, self-important, and perpetually plugged in. This is a call to arms against Millennials
(But srlsy, what’s his glitch?)
jstn:
This article probably offends 99.9999999% of the Tumblr community. Cool wand! —catbirdI have a problem with this language: “my generation,” “our culture” “their work ethic” — it’s almost as if he’s comparing two different species. Sure, we all know generational differences exist, but the concept of “generational ownership” — some staunch identification with one’s generation — is absurd. Whether or not you SERIOUSLY IDENTIFY with the people in Reality Bites doesn’t ultimately matter; you are responsible for yourself as an individual, and blaming the year in which someone was born isn’t going to solve anything. Ever.
This just in: previous generation becomes annoyed at new, younger generation. But don’t worry new generation, soon you’ll be old enough to start judging the next new generation on how poorly they’ll adapt to the corporate workplace. Yawn.
