LEFT: Nikon FG - This was my dad’s. He took photos of my mom at Disney World when she was pregnant with me using this camera (and the strap, which almost has more sentimental value to me than the camera itself). I’m 29, and save for a few light leaks and a painfully dim light meter, the camera still works. I haven’t been to Disney World since.
RIGHT: Nikon FE2 - This is an amazing gift I just received from someone who actually knows something about cameras. He’d already given me a 50mm lens that I’ve been using on the FG, and it has made all the difference (it’s also why I got this girl’s butt in such perfect focus). I’ve decided to let my dad’s camera rest and use the FE2 as my primary camera. I just loaded its first roll of film, and I’m very, very excited to see how much I screw it up.
