Today’s Pitchfork review is one of the few that didn’t make me roll my eyes: “There’s never been any kind of definable arc with the Silver Jews, no movement toward a fixed point; it’s more about keepin’ on keepin’ on.”

Pretty true.

David Berman sounds a little too worn out on this album, but this song reminds me that he’s probably my favorite lyricist ever.
